Last Friday evening
Action Readers had the pleasure of seeing ‘Scrooge! The Musical’ put on by
Royal City Musical Productions.
Attendees included Doris Middleton Award winners Lisa, Cheryl and Kendra, as well as learners Gerald, Donna, Douglas, Marcia, Jeff, Sohaila, Shema, Heather, and Debbie, volunteer Rita, and staff Jan Sherman and myself, Mira Clarke.

The sets, singers and orchestra were
amazing – what talent we have right here in the Royal City! As much as the play
was extremely entertaining, it also had a particularly touching message. Seeing it by way of the generous gift from a
kind donor who’s mother attended Action Read many years ago, and in the company of a group of
wonderful people (all of whom have had their fair share of struggles in life),
I could not help but find the play’s message much more personal and meaningful
than I had ever experienced in the past.

our donor David, and to the cast and crew of Royal City Musical
Productions for a wonderful show!
